~ Primer Time ~

I believe a good primer is one of the most important things to have in your makeup collection.  Not only is it responsible for keeping your makeup on longer but it also helps the application process, so for this I am a fan!  Finding the right primer for your skin type is crucial.  People may prefer silicone based primers to gel or cream ones, it all depends on the person!  Sometimes, as well a budget primer can just be as good as a high end one.

1.  Smashbox ~ PHOTO FINISH Foundation Primer / COLOR CORRECTING ADJUST - (£25.00)
The good thing about Smashbox primers are that they come in all different colours, the purpose of this is for all the different skin types out there.  For example I picked up the green tube because it is meant to cancel out redness and even out skin tone, as well as keeping your makeup looking fresh all day long and I must say it does just that!  Admittedly it is on the pricey side but it has last me from Christmas.  I tend to use this primer if I have a specially occasion so I don't waste it but I wish I could afford to use it everyday.  The consistency I would say is a thick creamy gel formula, leaving your skin feeling soft and refreshed.  A quick tip, a little goes a long way!

2.  Beauty UK ~ Prime fx foundation primer - (£3.99)
A while back I was sent this by the girls at Beauty UK and I was so excited to try out a new, affordable primer!  This primer is completely silicone based which I can imagine isn't good for quite a few skin types so be careful!  For the price it does do a good job of keeping your makeup on for quite a bit but I do have oily skin and sometimes it doesn't stop my foundation from moving.

3.  MUA ~ PRO BASE EYE PRIMER - (£2.50)
I absolutely adore this stuff!  I cannot rant and rave about it enough!  Seriously if you're looking for an eye primer don't bother going to get the Urban Decay's primer potion just get this.  I wear it everyday and it keeps my eye makeup looking fresh all day.  It looks like concealer but you will realise when you put it on the lid it's not that good coverage to be used as one but as a eye primer goes its seriously amazing!

What are your favourite primers?
